Adam Laerkesen is an Australian sculptor who creates works featuring forms derived from nature. The works are created from a variety of materials including wood, metal, cloth, flocking and found objects.
Adam studied and graduated from the Sydney College of the Arts as well as the East Sydney Technical College of the Arts. His work has been exhibited in many galleries around Australia and he has been featured in numerous publications and television programs.
His work displays baroque sensibilities in its visual and tactile richness; its layering and folding of form and content; its seeming contradictions; and its drama and theatre.
